The short version
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no accounts. It records one thing: that someone clicked through to a partner platform.
What is recorded
When you click a link to a partner platform, three things are written to our database:
- which platform you clicked through to
- the page you clicked from
- a request identifier generated by Cloudflare (a "ray ID"), which identifies the request, not you
This is how we know which reviews lead to a click. It is not linked to a person, an account or an IP address, and it is not shared with anyone.
What is not recorded
- No cookies of any kind
- No analytics: no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no pixel
- No IP address
- No account, no email, no form on this site
- No advertising or profiling
Third parties
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests as our hosting provider and keeps its own technical logs. Fonts are served by Bunny Fonts, chosen specifically because it does not log requests. Google Fonts would have leaked every reader to an ad network, which would sit badly with a site that publishes an affiliate disclosure.
Leaving this site
Clicking through to a partner platform takes you to their site, under their privacy policy, not ours. We earn a commission on some of those links; it never affects the ratings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data. The click records described above contain no personal data and cannot be traced back to you, so in practice there is nothing to retrieve. If you believe otherwise, write to us: contact@wherebuylinks.com
